A brief informal description of the 1 November 1997 Linux meeting.

  Professors Simms and Ruitenburg were present, and Frank Fritz, Shizheng He,
Qiang Ma, Naveen Mohammed, and Marie Schwerm.

   We worked from 1 PM to 3 PM. Installing X windows was hard, since we had
to read the monitor manual to see the exact settings. The X games were worse,
since they didn't want to be installed. Finally we succeeded in running the
flight simulator on another machine (running Solaris).
