From the book, pages 28-32, solve problems 4, 5, and 14. Justify your answers. Your work must be in handwritten form.
5 April
 
Build a `disappearing act' as displayed below. Make your own unique one. In class we discussed guidelines on what is expected from you.
 
 
3 May
 
Make bands with 0 twists (regular band), 1 twist (Moebius band), 2 twists, maybe more. "Cut" (copies of) the bands lengthwise in 2 strips, in 3 strips, maybe more. Count the number of twists afterward. Make a table as discussed in class. Make a conjecture about a better definition of number of twists.
