Last updated: September 2012
Comments and suggestions: Email wimr@mscs.mu.edu
- We learn to solve purely mathematical puzzles, using proofs.
- This class also prepares undergraduate students for the W.L. Putnam
Mathematical Competition, held on the first Saturday of December all across
North America.
- This class is open to ALL Marquette University undergraduates.
We allow others to attend on a case by case basis.
- Registration for MATH 3977 credit is not required if you don't want the
one credit that you may earn.
- Independent of credit for MATH 3977, you can contact me for official
participation in the Putnam Exam.
- We appear to meet on Fridays at 2 PM in CU 401 (see below).
There was an organizational meeting on
September 7th from 3:10 PM until 4:05 PM in CU 401,
from which I deduce that we prefer to have our weekly class on Fridays at 2 PM
in CU 401.
